How much does a business website cost in 2026: what 199 € gets you and what is paid separately
A concrete guide to the Site Start package from 199 €: what it includes, what it doesn't, which recurring costs appear and when a custom site makes sense.
Why a separate article about the business website
We have already written about the factors that affect the price of any website. Here we look at just one type of project, the one small businesses ask for most: the business website. It is the site that says who you are, what you offer, where customers can find you and how they can contact you. It does not sell products online and has no user accounts.
For this type of site we have a public starting price: the Site Start package, from 199 €. Other projects are priced on request, after a conversation. Below we explain exactly what that amount covers, what stays outside it and how to tell whether you need more. We do not quote general market price ranges, because they vary too much to be useful.
What the Site Start package includes
Site Start means a website of one to three pages, built on an XDAY Studio template and adapted to your identity: colours, logo, photos and copy. You get a site that looks good on a phone, loads quickly and has a contact form, plus the basic search engine settings: titles, descriptions and a clear page structure.
The important condition is that the copy and photos come from you. The starting price assumes the material is ready, while we take care of structure, design and publishing. Once we receive all the content, the usual timeline is about 7 working days. If extra requirements come up, you get a separate quote before we start the work, not a surprise invoice at the end.
What is not included in the price
Domain and hosting are not included. They are paid separately, usually yearly, directly to the provider you choose. We help you pick a suitable provider and set everything up, but the account stays in your name. That way you keep control of the site even if one day you work with someone else.
Copywriting, professional photography, translations, extra pages and special features are also discussed separately: bookings, payments, login areas or integrations with other software. Legal texts such as the privacy policy should be written or reviewed by a specialist; we publish them correctly. None of this is required from day one, and each item gets a quote before work starts.
The recurring costs to keep in mind
A website doesn't end on launch day. You pay yearly for the domain and hosting, and sometimes for a certificate or an email service on your company domain if the provider doesn't include it. The amounts depend on the provider and the options chosen, so check them directly on their website before deciding.
Then there is your own time: updating opening hours, prices or photos. A simple business website needs little maintenance, but it's worth knowing who makes changes and how long they take. You can make small changes yourself or ask us for help based on a quote. What matters is not leaving the site with outdated information, because wrong opening hours cost you customers.
When you need more than Site Start
Site Start fits if you want to be online quickly, with clear information and a simple way to get in touch. You need a custom project if you offer many services that deserve their own pages, if you want a design built from scratch, if you publish articles often or if the site has to talk to other software.
Likewise, if you work with customers in several countries, versions in several languages take time to structure and check. In these cases we don't try to stretch the basic package: we discuss what you want to achieve and you get a separate quote with clear deliverables. Sometimes the right answer is to start with Site Start and add pages only once you see what customers ask.
How to compare quotes without getting lost in numbers
When you receive several quotes, compare what you get, not just the amount. Ask how many pages are included, who writes the copy, whether the domain and hosting are in your name, how long the project takes once you send the material and how later changes are charged.
Ask for concrete promises. A serious quote does not guarantee you first place on Google, because nobody controls search results. It can, however, promise a fast, well-structured site that search engines can read easily. If you want to see what a suitable project looks like for your business, send us a few details through the quote form and we will come back with a clear proposal.
